Current Vacancies


Philip Lee is currently looking for an ambitious solicitor, ideally with between one and three years’ relevant post qualification experience, to join its busy media practice.

The role will be principally transactional in nature, including the drafting and negotiation of financing and other legal documentation for film and television projects and associated transaction management. It will involve the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts as well as the provision of non-contentious intellectual property and technology-related advice.

In order to be considered for this role it is essential that candidates be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Solid transactional experience gained within the corporate and/or finance department(s) of a busy commercial law practice;
  • An interest in working in the media sector;
  • Strong academic background;
  • Excellent drafting, negotiating and organisational skills, and attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload to ensure deadlines are achieved;
  • A progressive attitude to business development; and
  • Significant client contact experience.

The banking team at this Dublin-based commercial firm advises its clients, including many household names, on a broad range of banking, secured and unsecured lending transactions and advisory matters. The ideal candidate will already be working within a strong banking/finance practice or within a corporate team dealing with a significant volume of finance-related work.

Key responsibilities:
• Handling a broad range of banking and finance related work including: corporate transactional banking, refinancing, corporate finance, project finance and asset-based lending.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating finance documentation relating to commercial lending (facility agreements, security documents etc.).

Philip Lee will run another of our very successful 10 week summer intern programmes, beginning on  May 30,2017

We are interested in all graduates and undergraduates.  The programme itself gives students an excellent sense of what it is like to work as a trainee and ultimately as a lawyer in a leading commercial law firm.

As an intern you will be introduced to the work of the firm and will be an involved member of the team on various projects. Our trainees, associates and partners will give you the support you need and you will receive mentoring to help you make decisions about your future career.

Interviews & Selection

From the applications we receive, our Trainee Committee will make an initial selection of candidates. Those candidates will be invited to a group interview. We will let you know in April whether you have been included in this selection. Candidates chosen from the group interview will be invited to a final individual interview at the end of April. Offers will be made shortly after that.
