The Data Protection Seminar, presented by the Intellectual Property and Data Protection Committee in collaboration with Law Society Professional Training, aims to provide a practical overview and introduction to the provisions of the GDPR.
The GDPR which is due to come into effect in 2018 is intended to strengthen and unify data protection within the EU and addresses the export of data outside the EU.
Ann Henry, partner, is chairperson of the Intellectual Property and Data Protection committee of the Law Society of Ireland.
