We are delighted to have advised the HSE on a public private partnership for the design, build, finance and maintenance of seven community nursing units across Ireland  (the “CNU PPP Project”) which reached financial close on 7 December 2022.

Press release available here.

The CNU PPP Project is Ireland’s first public-private partnership for community nursing and is expected to transform local residential care across the country under a €250 million investment backed by the European Investment Bank, Bank of Ireland and NORD/LB. The Project will deliver both long and short-term care options for older persons and persons with dementia. By the end of 2024, a total of 530 beds are to be provided in sites at Ardee, Athlone, Clonmel, Killarney, Midleton, St. Finbarr’s (Cork) and Thomastown.

A Philip Lee team, led by Kerri Crossen and including Anna Hickey, Jonathan Kelly, Laura Mullen, Eimear Fitzgibbon and Thompson Barry Doherty, advised the HSE on the procurement of the CNU PPP Project.
