At Philip Lee we have a thriving early stage practice. Our Dublin office is at the very heart of the start-up community in the capital. We recognise that it is an extremely competitive market for early stage companies. To succeed, these businesses need quality and supportive partners to help them grow.
We are committed to helping genuine high potential early to medium stage companies succeed and have set up a high potential group aimed specifically at this area. This group continues to grow as many of our clients raise significant funding and expand internationally.
How we can help
Examples of the advice and assistance we provide to our high potential start-up client companies include the following:
Work in the Field
We provide legal training to start-up companies on the New Frontiers Programme, an initiative backed by Enterprise Ireland and are the appointed advisors to the Synergy Centre in Tallaght, a dedicated centre for innovation and start-up companies. We also work closely with IT Blanchardstown.
Philip Lee sponsors the annual “Investart Award” – an award for companies participating on Phase 2 of New Frontiers at the Synergy Centre. Past winners include Incereb.
Third level institutions, including Maynooth University, come to us for advice on university spin-outs and we regularly provide legal training to post graduate students at the Smurfit Graduate Business School.
Clarity on Costs
We fully understand that every cent matters in building a business and we recognise this when working with our start-up clients. We frequently offer capped fee arrangements and reduced rates for well-scoped transactions.
Sectors and Clients
We work with client companies across a range of sectors, including Med Tech, Clean Tech, Travel, Gaming, Pharma, Social Media and more.
