JB Barry & Partners

A Philip Lee team, led by corporate partners Rebecca McEvoy, Bernard McEvoy and associate Olivia Creaven, has advised the sellers on the sale of JB Barry & Partners to French company Egis.

JB Barry is a Dublin headquartered civil engineering business which was founded over 63 years ago, with offices in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Castlebar. Prior to the acquisition, both JB Barry & Partners and Egis were partnered on a number of projects in Ireland focusing on rail and light rail transport such as the planning of the Luas Green Line extension to Finglas.

It is expected that joining Egis will give JB Barry & Partners the capacity to respond to larger domestic and international tenders and offer existing clients new added value services.

Completion of the transaction is subject to approval from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.
