Alice joined Philip Lee in 2004 and was appointed as a partner in 2007.

Her career focus since qualifying as a lawyer in 2001 has been on the provision of strategic advice to clients operating in the environmental, energy, infrastructure, housing, climate action and marine sectors.

Through the application of her in-depth knowledge of key EU and Irish legal and policy developments, she provides sound commercial and strategic advice to ensure that plans, projects, decisions and investment activities are implemented successfully.

Alice has great communications skills, and is quick to learn the nuts and bolts of her clients’ business activities and industries. She works closely with investors, developers, engineers, designers, ecologists, PR consultants, other lawyers and specialists to ensure a collaborative and positive approach to successful project delivery.

Alice has acted for many clients in significant High Court and Supreme Court judicial review proceedings – Highlights include:

      • O’Flynn Capital Partners v Dun Laoghaire – Rathdown County Council – in connection with the Cherrywood Strategic Development Zone
      • Fitzpatrick and Daly v An Bord Pleanála, Apple Distribution International – in connection with the proposed Apple data centre
      • Dome Telecom v eircom – in connection with discovery of digital / electronic call records
      • Eoin Kelly v An Bord Pleanála, Aldi Stores – in connection with mitigation measures in screening under the Habitats Directive

Transaction highlights include:

      • Microsoft – corporate PPA with GE, to purchase 100% of the renewable power from the Tullahennel windfarm in County Kerry
      • NDFA – Schools PPP Bundles
      • Port of Cork – harbour redevelopment / financing
      • Aqua Comms – subsea fibre optic cable developments / financing
