Aoife joined Philip Lee in February 2018, having worked previously in a firm specialising in public law and criminal defence litigation.
Aoife specialises in public and administrative law and litigation and has represented clients before all Irish courts. Aoife advises public bodies on their obligations under fair procedures, data protection and Freedom of Information law. She has experience in European and international law, and acts for a client in proceedings referred to the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU).
Aoife frequently conducts her own advocacy on behalf of clients in the District Court and completed a Certificate in Advanced Advocacy with the Law Society of Northern Ireland in May 2016.
Since May 2019, Aoife is a Certified Information Privacy Practitioner, having completed the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) examination relating to GDPR and European privacy laws.
Aoife is a fluent Irish speaker and has experience in conducting litigation through Irish.
