Chris Collenette



Chris Collenette is a consultant to Philip Lee’s corporate department and is responsible for the firm’s Canada Desk.  Working with Irish government agencies such as the Industrial Development Agency, Enterprise Ireland and Bord Bia as well as Canadian government agencies such as the Export Development Corporation, the Canadian Commercial Corporation, Canadian Embassies in Europe, provincial ministries of international trade and city economic development corporations, Chris advises clients on:


  • Accessing the European Union via the establishment of operations Ireland;
  • Accessing the North American market via the establishment of operations in Canada; and
  • Advice on lobbying efforts in both the EU and Canada.


Chris serves as Vice-Chairman and Director of the Ireland-Canada Business Association, Director of Think Research EU Corporation Ltd, Non-Executive Director of SAIC Aircraft Holdings Ltd and sits on the Board of Trustees of the Ireland Canada University Foundation.


Chris previously worked in Ottawa as an advisor to the Prime Minister of Canada, the Minister of Industry, and the Minister of Health.  He also worked in Toronto for two national public affairs firms where he represented dozens of major corporations to government.  As a result, Chris commands a broad network of contacts across business and government circles in Canada.


Chris received a bachelor’s degree in history from Carleton University in Ottawa, a LL.B. from Trinity College in Dublin, and a Diploma in Legal French from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris.  During his legal studies, Chris worked for several Canadian and Irish law firms on both sides of the Atlantic.


Chris is presently completing the Chartered Directors course with the Institute of Directors of Ireland.
