Chris Collenette is a consultant to Philip Lee’s corporate department and is responsible for the firm’s Canadian desk. In this capacity he advises Canadian companies entering the European Union market via the establishment of operations in Ireland, and Irish companies entering the North American market via the establishment of operations in Canada.
Chris serves as Chairperson of the Ireland-Canada Business Association and sits on the Board of Trustees of the Ireland Canada University Foundation. He is also a Vice-President of Corporate Development for a Canadian digital health company, Think Research (TSXV: THNK) and serves as non-executive director for several Irish companies involved in aircraft leasing, health tech, semi-conductor intelligence, and retail fashion.
Chris previously worked in Ottawa as an advisor to the Prime Minister of Canada, the Minister of Industry, and the Minister of Health. He also worked in Toronto for two national public affairs firms, where he represented dozens of major corporations to all levels of government.
Chris holds a BA in History from Carleton University, Ottawa; an LL. B from Trinity College, Dublin; a Certificate of Accreditation from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada; a Diploma in Legal French from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris, a Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors, London; and a Diploma in Aircraft Leasing and Finance from the Law Society of Ireland. During his legal studies, Chris worked for several major corporate law firms on both sides.
Chris is a citizen of Canada, Ireland and the United Kingdom.
