Maeve is a senior associate within the planning and environmental team.

Prior to joining the firm Maeve trained, qualified and worked for three years with another top Irish law firm. Maeve has experience advising on energy projects, carrying out environmental due diligence for the project financing of these transactions, identifying risks and working collaboratively to mitigate those risks.

She has advised on a wide variety of litigious and non-litigious environmental and planning matters.

Maeve speaks at seminars updating clients on recent developments and trends in the environmental and planning spheres.

Maeve is active in campaigning for diversity and inclusion in society and regularly speaks at events on these issues.

Recent Work

      • Carrying out environmental due diligence for sellers and purchasers in relation to a wide variety of businesses including pharmaceutical companies, hotels, food businesses, fuel suppliers, packaging and energy companies. Advising clients on mitigating the identified risks.
      • Advising clients in relation to various planning and environmental law matters arising under Irish and European law including under the Planning Acts and draft legislation in relation to the extension of planning permissions and on new planning regulations relating to statutory undertakers.
      • Advising clients in relation to the Freedom of Information and Access to Information on the Environment regimes.
      • Carrying out due diligence for the project financing of numerous wind farm transactions and advising on strategy to minimise risks identified.
      • Providing strategic advice to a semi-state body on the development of licence application templates focussed on mitigating the risk of challenges on environmental grounds.
      • Drafting a submission for a client in response to a public consultation.
