We are pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Conway as Partner within our real estate and planning department. Tom specialises in advising on investment and real estate finance, acting for national and international investment funds across a broad range of asset classes, pillar and US / UK banks, private equity investors and institutional landlords and tenants.
In his new role, Tom joins the award-winning Property Group within the firm, current title holder of the Property Law Firm of the Year and Leinster Property Law Firm of the Year accolades. Headed by Partner John O’Donoghue and working along-side fellow Partner Eimear Fitzgibbon. Tom’s significant expertise will further enhance a team that offers the combined specialisms of the firms’ property partners with top tier planning and environmental partners, Alice Whittaker and Rachel Minch. As a result, clients will have access to unrivalled levels of expertise in these interwoven fields.
Tom also advises property developers on site assembly, development finance, asset management and disposal. With varied transactional experience in real estate aspects in loan book sales, he also offers his expertise to receivers and liquidators on asset disposal. In addition, working across all aspects of real estate investment Tom specialises in counselling lenders and borrowers in traditional and alternative real estate finance transactions.
He has significant experience in real estate financing and has been involved in a wide range of projects including international restructurings. He has particular expertise in the acquisition and disposal of shopping centres in both Dublin and the regions, having advised on a wide range of hospitality sector business and asset sale transactions.
