Mr Rigley recently made headlines when his company revealed it was behind plans for a 6,000-7,500-seater facility in Cherrywood that would act as a national hub for elite athletes and a concert venue, while also becoming the home of Dublin’s first professional ice hockey franchise. It is claimed that the arena could generate a socio-economic impact of over €230m annually.
