Philip Lee are looking for a part-time accounts assistant. Reporting directly to the Accounts Manager, the position is an important member of staff whose prime role is to assist the finance team in the maintenance of accurate financial records and aid the smooth running of the firm.

  • Assist the team in all areas of the Accounts Payable function, to include;
  • Setting up of suppliers & processing high volumes of purchase invoices on a daily basis
  • Carry out reconciliations in relation to Creditors as required
  • Undertake daily banking functions & reconcile all bank accounts on a monthly basis
  • Ensuring outgoing fee invoices are correctly prepared and entered onto accounts ledger
  • Assist in the debt-collection function of the firm
  • Collation and submission of credit cards monthly to partners for analysis & subsequent input of same onto system
  • Undertake the administration and reconciliation of petty cash
  • Prompt turnaround of audit request letters from clients and their auditors

Person Specification:

  • Strong general finance experience preferred, ideally in a fast paced professional services environment
  • Ability to work in a flexible manner, meeting daily deadlines with high invoicing volumes
  • Capable of working on own initiative but also a team player who is willing to help and support your colleagues
  • Great interpersonal skills with outgoing & friendly personality
  • Good PC skills & working knowledge of MS Office (especially WORD and EXCEL)
  • Experience in Solicitors Finance Accounts Package (preferable but not essential)
  • Fluent in English – written and spoken

We are seeking an ambitious lawyer for our corporate/commercial department between 2-5 years PQE. The role will involve an emphasis on M&A and investment transactions, international and domestic restructuring, corporate advisory and commercial contracts.

In order to be considered for this role it is essential that candidates be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Proven transactional experience gained within the corporate department of a busy commercial law practice;

  • A progressive attitude to business development; and
    Significant client contact experience.

Philip Lee will run another of our very successful 10 week summer internship programmes, beginning on  May 28-3 August 2018.

We are interested in all graduates and undergraduates.  The programme itself gives students an excellent sense of what it is like to work as a trainee and ultimately as a lawyer in a leading commercial law firm.

As an intern you will be introduced to the work of the firm and will be an involved member of the team on various projects. Our trainees, associates and partners will give you the support you need and you will receive mentoring to help you make decisions about your future career.

Interviews & Selection

From the applications we receive, our Trainee Committee will make an initial selection of candidates. Those candidates will be invited to a group interview. Candidates chosen from the group interview will be invited to a final individual interview at the end of March. Offers will be made shortly after that.
