Key Contact: Philip Lee – Partner and Executive Chairman
Philip Lee has signed up for Dublin City Council’s electric cargobike pilot scheme. The scheme is run in partnership with bike sharing operator Bleeper, who are currently working with local authorities to provide climate-friendly cargobikes to businesses.
The initiative allows businesses to trial pedal-assist e-cargobikes for a six-month period, enabling them to replace trips which would otherwise be taken by car. The bikes have a cargo carrying capacity of 60kg, with a battery which can last for up to 160km and can be fully recharged in six hours.
E-bikes offer energy efficient transportation which also has physical and health benefits.
Partner Philip Lee said “We are delighted to take part in this new initiative. We recognise climate change is one of the biggest challenges facing society and change must happen. This is one small change. We are always looking for ways to be more sustainable and here was an opportunity to change our over-reliance on car journeys and fossil fuels.
“Colleagues are looking forward to using this electric e-cargobike to take documents to Court and for errands around Dublin city. It is an innovative step towards reducing our carbon footprint.”
