Claire joined Philip Lee’s Dispute Resolution and Litigation team from a large international law firm.

Claire advises international and domestic clients, in both the public and private sectors on a range of commercial disputes, largely in the construction sphere. Claire has been involved in a range of mediations, conciliations, arbitrations and adjudications under the Construction Contracts Act 2013, as well as High Court and Court of Appeal litigation.

Recent Work

  • Claire acts for a significant main contractor across a number of live projects, advising on all aspects of the dispute resolution process as well as the defence of Adjudications brought under the Construction Contracts Act 2013.
  • Claire advises a significant public sector client in connection with the defence of a procurement challenge in the High Court (as well as other litigation relating to suppliers), managing the conduct of these Court proceedings.
  • Claire advises two local authorities regarding the dispute resolution processes set out in the Public Works Contracts, in the context of two live social housing projects.
  • Claire advised a client in connection with claims relating to the operation of the Luas and other matters, which includes managing Commercial Court proceedings on its behalf.
  • Claire advised a contractor in connection with structural defects in an apartment complex in High Court proceedings involving over 100 homeowners and construction professionals.
