Simon Puleston Jones was previously a structured finance and derivatives lawyer for 15 years, then CEO of one of Europe’s leading financial services trade associations and chair of the Joint Trade Association Group.
He has spent the last 6 years focused on climate and decarbonisation. In addition to advising on decarbonisation-focused capital raising in private markets and acting as a carbon broker in the voluntary and Article 6 markets.
He has previously advised a range of carbon market participants on interpretation of the Paris Agreement, legal issues with taking security over carbon credits in connection with carbon finance, standard trading terms, the build-out of carbon trading desks and more. He is an expert in Article 6, industry best practice and regulation.
