Damien is a partner specialising in litigation and dispute resolution

He has acted for both public and private sector clients in the conduct of proceedings across a wide range of practice areas, with particular focus on the firm’s core practice areas in the field of procurement law and public infrastructure projects.

Damien also advises on all aspects of EU and Irish data protection law, privacy and defamation matters, and has conducted injunction proceedings on behalf of well-known individuals to protect the privacy of their family members.

Damien has acted for a large number of both public and private sector clients in High Court judicial review proceedings involving challenges to the award of public contracts, including cases heard before the Commercial Court and the newly established Competition Court. In addition to civil law actions involving abuse of dominance and cartel activity, Damien has also handled the defence of criminal prosecutions brought against private parties for breaches of competition law.

He has advised on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious commercial and residential property transactions and disputes. Damien’s practice also incorporates contentious work in the construction sector, including the conduct of arbitrations relating to a number of large public infrastructural projects.
