Dearbhla is a London-based Counsel in the Climate Projects practice of Philip Lee.

She advises a broad spectrum of carbon market participants on the structuring and financing of global carbon market transactions and the development of climate projects (both insetting- and offsetting-related), with a focus on nature-based solutions. Her practice includes advising on EU and UK climate policy and regulation, including emerging international carbon markets and related rules such as those under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.

Dearbhla also has significant experience advising clients across various sectors on environmental, health and safety, social and sustainability matters in a wide range of transactions, including corporate M&A, JVs, IPOs and corporate bond offerings, and international and domestic energy and infrastructure project financings. She also advises on regulatory and strategic ESG mandates, spanning areas such as pollution and contamination, environmental permitting, chemicals and hazardous substances, sustainability reporting and disclosure, sustainability strategy, and greenwashing risk mitigation.

Prior to joining Philip Lee LLP in London, Dearbhla spent over five years working on a Tier 1-ranked ESG team at a Magic Circle law firm in London and four years with a top Irish law firm as part of their Tier 1-ranked Environment and Planning team.
