Ruairí Mac Cumhaill is a partner in the banking and finance department.

Ruairí has extensive experience advising in relation to secured and unsecured lending transactions, bilateral loans, real estate finance, syndicated loans, debt restructuring, receivables finance, project finance and fund finance. He acts for a wide range of leading Irish and international banks and financial institutions, non-bank lenders and a wide range of corporate borrowers.

  • Advising a number of Irish and international lenders on real estate finance transactions involving different lending structures and green loan elements.
  • Advised a large Irish corporate in relation to a cross border debt finance transaction.
  • Advising one of Ireland’s leading alternative lenders with respect to acquisition and development finance transactions.
  • Advised a syndicate of banks on a cross border debt finance transaction in the pharma sector.
  • Advised a U.S. technology company on its refinancing with a U.S. private equity house.
  • Acted for eEnergy Group in the negotiation of a €15m funding facility from SUSI Partners AG, through its Energy Efficiency Fund II.
  • Advised a leading Irish bank in relation to a multi-million loan agreement in the social housing sector.
  • Advised an international bank on a €50 million term loan multi tranche facility to an approved housing body.
  • Advised one of Ireland’s largest modular home manufacturers in relation to a €50 million acquisition and development finance facility.
  • Advised a leading farmers co-op in respect of term and invoice discounting facilities made available to it by a number of Irish and international banks.
  • Advised a number of Irish lenders on student accommodation development finance projects.
