Eimear is a partner in the firm’s dispute resolution and litigation department. Eimear is also a qualified mediator.

Eimear has a leading and strong practice in property/landlord and tenant disputes and has been involved in high profile property disputes, representing domestic and international clients before the High Court, Commercial Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.

Eimear regularly advises and represents clients in complex contractual/commercial/financial disputes. Eimear also advises and represents clients in arbitrations, mediations and other dispute resolution forums.

Representative Matters

      • Represented a domestic retailer in a high profile landlord and tenant dispute before the Commercial Court. The dispute related to landlord and tenant rights being negatively impacted by the landlord’s development.
      • Represented sole member of a Tribunal in respect of judicial review applications taken by various parties.
      • Represented global tech company in respect of multijurisdictional contractual dispute. Matter determined in ICC Arbitration.
      • Represented international entity in respect of infringement of trademarks.
      • Represented international lenders in respect of complex contractual disputes with borrowers and multijurisdictional enforcement action.
      • Represented global communications entity in respect of undersea property damage claim.
      • Represented international club in obtaining Mareva injunctions in respect of assets in Irish bank accounts.
      • Represented institutional landlords in breach of covenant claims against tenants/recovery of sums from defaulting tenants.
      • Acted on behalf of receivers in respect of challenges to appointments and assisted receiver in collecting in assets.
      • Acted on behalf of global retailer in respect of exit from the Irish market including lease negotiations.
      • Advised retailers in respect of Covid regulations.
      • Acted in a high profile shareholder dispute for a client in the entertainment sector.
      • Acted in a shareholder dispute for international client in food sector.
