 A Landmark Climate Collaboration:

Partners, Michael Byrd and Ryan Covington, along with Counsel, Jordan Baber from Philip Lee’s New York Climate Projects team, were proud to advise Phlair on a pioneering transaction that marks a major milestone for carbon removal in Europe.

Phlair and Carbon Removal (via NorDAC Kollsnes) have entered into an agreement to develop Europe’s first large-scale Direct Air Capture (DAC) and CO₂ storage project in Øygarden, Norway, adjacent to the Northern Lights terminal.

🔹 Phase 1: 60,000 tCO₂/year
🔹 Phase 2: 500,000 tCO₂/year

What makes this project stand out?
Phlair’s load-flexible DAC system, which enables renewable-powered CO₂ removal while helping stabilise the grid. This represents a major advancement in CDR technology.

Congratulations to all involved in this innovative and impactful collaboration.
