About our new Partners:
Niall Donnelly, Partner, Energy and Natural Resources
Niall specialises in advising clients on complex projects and regulatory matters in the energy sector, in particular renewable energy transactions. His appointment significantly strengthens the firm’s position in the energy sector, enhancing its ability to provide expert legal advice to clients navigating the complexities of the rapidly evolving energy landscape. Niall’s experience includes advising lenders and developers on the financing and construction of large-scale energy projects, advising on the sale and acquisition of such projects and advising on power purchase agreements and regulatory matters in the energy sector.
Alison Murray, Partner, Public and Regulatory
Alison specialises in providing advisory and litigation services to regulators, statutory bodies and private clients, with a particular focus on public and administrative law, data protection law, statutory drafting and statutory interpretation. Alison is a specialist in regulatory litigation, having acted for various regulators and statutory bodies in judicial review proceedings and statutory appeals before the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. A key aspect of Alison’s role will be to lead and further expand the firm’s already thriving public and regulatory law unit.
Patrick Kane, Partner, Projects and Construction
Patrick’s expertise lies in public procurement and construction projects. He specialises in delivering complex procurements, and has advised public bodies on the acquisition of modern IT systems and modifying high-value IT contracts as well as advising both public and private sector clients on the delivery of strategic public works projects in Ireland. Patrick has extensive experience in PPPs, the Capital Works Management Framework (crucial for the delivery of public works projects by the Irish public sector), development agreements and innovation procurement. Patrick’s promotion enhances the strength and depth of our projects and construction team, which is unparalleled in the Irish market.
Jennifer Darcy, Partner, Commercial Litigation
Jennifer specialises in advising on a broad range of contentious matters, with a particular focus on banking and corporate disputes, civil fraud and insolvency matters before the High Court, Commercial Court and Court of Appeal. Jennifer brings a wealth of experience of complex litigation matters and alternative dispute resolution and has acted in many large-scale, multi-jurisdictional disputes. Her appointment enhances the firm’s capabilities in delivering strategic legal services to clients across a broad range of industries.
